Dave Asprey on “Top 11 Ways To Beat Toxic Mold”

June 29, 2015

Dave Asprey of Bulletproof wrote an article called “Top 11 Ways To Beat Toxic Mold In  Your Home and Life.”

From the article:

Toxic mold grows in buildings and has a profound impact on how you think and feel, and it can seriously destroy your brain. That’s why Bulletproof produced Moldy, the first ever documentary about toxic mold exposure.

Toxic mold also is a food contaminant linked to all sorts of chronic problems. This article is about avoiding environmental toxic mold, not food mold (read more about moldy food here).

When people avoid mold toxins, they perform better. Many of the most toxic mold metabolites cause damage to DNA – there is no “optimal” level of them other than zero, so we work to get the levels down as far as possible.  Mold forms in homes, schools, and businesses because we build tightly sealed energy efficient houses out of wood and paper, natural foods for mold and fungus.

At the same time, we’ve created more aggressive forms of fungi with our agricultural chemicals. The result is that toxic mold makes more people weak, fat, and tired than ever before. It is largely invisible and can have a huge impact on your energy and stress levels, not to mention how long you’ll live.
