Two separate mold conferences focusing on medical and environmental issues with regard to mold-related illness will be held during the first half of 2019.
This conference will be held in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, on January 17-20, 2019.
The title of the conference is “A Meeting of the Minds.”
The conference is open to patients and the general public as well as to medical practitioners and environmental professionals.
Medical practitioners and researchers speaking at the conference will include Andrew Heyman, James C. Ryan, Ritchie Shoemaker, Lysander Jim, Scott McMahon, Michael Rothman, Jacki Meinhardt, Natasha Thomas, Ming Dooley, Craig Tanio, Paula Vetters and Kellyn Milani.
Environmental speakers will include Chin Yang, Ralph Moon, David Lark, John Lapotaire, Tom Mitchell, Michael F. Susi, John Banta, Michael Schrantz, Larry Schwartz and Greg Weatherman.
Erik Johnson, who has been a frequent contributor to the Paradigm Change blog, also will be speaking at the conference.
The conference will be held at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port Hotel.
The cost to attend the conference is $695.
In addition, all-day pre-conference training sessions will be held on January 16 for those interested in obtaining a basic introduction to medical or environmental issues.
Ritchie Shoemaker, M.D., will be sponsoring a one-day training course for medical professionals on the topic of diagnosing and treating CIRS (chronic inflammatory response syndrome). The cost is $800. Those completing the course will have the opportunity to take an online exam leading to Diplomate status as Proficient in CIRS for an additional fee ($700).
Environmental professional Greg Weatherman will teach an eight-hour course on Small Particle Remediation. Attendees are required to have previous experience in mold remediation and will receive eight hours of credit toward ACAC Recertification. The cost for the training is $500.
This conference is sponsored by the International Society for Environmentally Acquired Illness (ISEAI).
It will be held on May 3-5, 2019, at the Civana resort near Phoenix, Arizona.
The title of the conference is “Healing Complex Patients in a Toxic World.”
Scheduled speakers include Mary Ackerley, Joseph Brewer, Joseph Burrascano, Jill Carnahan, Margaret DiTulio, Yogi Goswami, Michael Gray, Debby Hamilton, Janette Hope, Annie Hopper, Richard Horowitz, Kelly McCann, Bob Miller, Neil Nathan, Robert Naviaux, Lyn Patrick, Sonia Rapaport, Michael Schrantz and Lauren Tessier.
The cost of the conference will be $650-1050 for ISEAI members and $800-1200 for non-members, with the lowest prices available to those who register by December 31, 2018.
On May 2, practitioners Lauren Tessier and Margaret DiTulio will offer a four-hour Environmentally Acquired Illness (EAI) Basics Course to qualified medical professionals and indoor environmental professionals. The cost will be $195.
The Civana resort is located in Carefree, Arizona (north of Scottsdale at an altitude of about 2500 feet).
Due to space limitations, ISEAI conference registration is currently open only to medical professionals, environmental professionals and researchers.
If slots become available, other individuals may be permitted to attend. Those interested may contact the conference organizers to be put on a list to be notified if this occurs.
